Excitement Makes Perfect

When I was a teenager I wrote “I hate math” all over my math book cover.  My math teacher saw it and told me to change that cover!  He gave me extra math problems as a punishment for every day I kept the cover on my book.

He explained to me that whatever my attitude was when I was thinking about math and doing my homework, that would be the same attitude I would bring to the exams.  How you feel when you practice something is how you will feel when you finally perform it.

Fast-forward to today when I am practicing my first webinar class, all pumped up with energy and dressed to the nines because I want to be confident even though no one can see me!

My sweet moment is finding excitement in practicing; and I practice so much more than I actually perform.  Do you find the joy in practicing whatever it is you do in life?  If you don’t then how can you?
