The clean slate for 2017

Today in church we were given a white (blank) stone. Our pastor told us we would know what to do with it by the end of the sermon.

Later she asked us this question, “what would your transformed life look like?”   She wanted us to think about all the characteristics we would need to truly have a sweet life.

Once we had our list she asked us to pick just one that sums up the essence of what we would need to be transformed.  This one word was then written on the white stone.  It was a powerful exercise to guide our decisions for 2017.

Not surprisingly my word was sweet!  Until I have mastered the sweet life, I am going to stick with that intention. One of the most important things I have learned is that persistence pays off.  Being persistent with my intention to really have a sweet life has brought me more and more joy over time.

What would your word be? Share it with me on Facebook or twitter.
